The Uluru is probably Australia’s best known natural icons, visited by Australia travelers from all over the planet. The famous sandstone formation stands 348 m high into the air at an altitude of 863 m above sea level with the large part of its bulk unseen below the ground. Although usually recognized as a simple feature Uluru is in fact a much more complex shaped rock and measures 9.4 km in circumference.
